Knuffle Bunny Free: An Unexpected Diversion

Knuffle Bunny Free: An Unexpected Diversion by Mo Willems is a book about Trixie, a young girl that is attached to her favorite stuffed bunny. Trixie takes Knuffle Bunny with her everywhere. In this story Trixie travels to Holland to visit her Oma and Opa. When she arrives she realizes that Knuffle Bunny is missing, she left him on the airplane. Trixie is distraught with grief over this loss. Her parents and grandparents find fun activities to keep Trixie's mind off of Knuffle Bunny and Trixie has fun despite the fact that Knuffle Bunny is not with her. On the plane ride home Trixie finds Knuffle Bunny waiting for her. In an act of selflessness, Trixie gives Knuffle Bunny to a crying child in a nearby seat.

I like the way the author wrote such a simple story that carries a great impact on the reader. The illustrations paired with photographs  make this book very intriguing. I highly recommend this book as a great read.
