FREEBIES FOR KIDS: Book Adventure, Kids Earn Prizes For Reading

About 2 months ago I found this cool website for kids, called Book Adventure.  With Book Adventure, kids take quizzes on the book they read, which tests comprehension. For every quiz they pass they earn points and the points are redeemable for prizes. Alexis earned 1800 points and earned the game shown below called Word Shout by Patch products. Other prizes are available as well. I was surprised at how quickly Alexis earned points and Patch products was super quick in sending this prize. So if you are looking for a way to get your kiddos motivated to read, this is a great tool. 

Word Shout: How To Play
For 2-4 players ages 8 and up

Object: To be the first player to reach 50 points by shouting out words formed by the letter dice.

Play: All players must be ready before the dice are rolled, because everyone plays at the same time and speed matters. Roll the dice onto a table. Everyone looks at the dice and tries to form words from the letters. Words must be at least 3 letters. When you find a word, shout out the word and take the dice that forms your word and place in front of you. Each dice equals 1 point. Everyone continues to search for words, until no more words can be formed. The number of dice collected is your score for that round. Continue each round giving each player a chance to roll the dice. The first person to earn 50 points is the winner!
