Week 12 Excellence In Reading Challenge
Easter will be here before we know it, and we are enjoying some exceptionally warm weather, for this time of year, in the midwest, with temperatures reaching into the 80's! We chose Beatrix Potter's classic The Tale of Peter Rabbit for our Reading Challenge, it seems a fitting read for spring.
My DD, at age 7, is reading mostly to herself now and she just finished Junie B., First Grader Aloha-ha-ha. This is one of her favorite series.
We are still reading aloud The Secret Garden. We are reading the free Kindle version of this book, which has some old Yorkshire dialect that Alexis finds quite humorous. Now she repeatedly recites the phrase, "How does tha likes thyself?"
It will take us weeks to finish it since we are reading approximately 20 minutes each night, not counting week ends. The book is 330 pages and we are at page 113. I would to like to complete this one by next Friday.

We read The Tale of Peter Rabbit this week too!
We have been reading away here too! We started The Adventures of Pinocchio and are reading all the the stories by Beatrix Potter. My daughter also read the newest book about Stink Moody. Your daughter might enjoy those books as well. They are by Megan MacDonald.
