Frog and Toad Are Friends by Arnold Lobel is a Caldecott Honor Book in the I Can Read series. This book is made up of 5 short stories portraying the tales of two friends Frog and Toad.

Frogs character is very different from Toad. Frog is more outgoing and laid back, while Toad is a bit high strung and dramatic. Even with their differences, Frog and Toad are the best of friends and are very considerate of each others feelings.

I like this book because it portrays how friends take time for each other, help each other, and look out for each other. This is a good book with a valuable lesson for young children.
