How I Became A Pirate by Melinda Long

An excellent story for young children that enjoy adventure. Little Jeremy Jacobs is building sandcastles on the beach when Captain Braid Beard and his crew appear. Braid Beard recruits Jeremy to his crew as a digger to help them bury a treasure. Jeremy loves the pirate life where the rules are lapse. Soon he begins to miss the comforts of home and convinces Braid Beard to bury the treasure in Jeremy's backyard.
